Strippers in the Old North and the Port

The Old North is the Tel Aviv people mean when they say "Tel Aviv": boulevards lined with ficus trees, Bauhaus buildings on pillars, high ceilings, and balconies opening onto the street. Right beside it lies the Port — an entirely different world: converted warehouses, lofts above car parks, and sea wind coming through every window. We work in both areas almost every week, and they demand two completely different procedures. This page explains both — what works where, what is worth knowing in advance, and which style of show suits each one.

The Old North: old beauty with rules of its own

The flats here are beautiful in a way nobody builds today: three and a half metre ceilings, original terrazzo floors, large windows. For a show that is excellent — there is height, there is light, and there is an atmosphere that makes any character cinematic. What you should know: the walls are thin and the neighbours are long-established. Hence our standing recommendation for the area is medium volume without heavy bass, closed windows during the show, and finishing by midnight rather than two. It takes nothing away from the evening — most of the styles that suit this area are not built on volume anyway.

The Port: the same city, opposite rules

Two hundred metres north and everything changes. The lofts above the Port are genuine industrial spaces — concrete, high ceilings, enormous windows facing the sea. There are no neighbours below, the music can rise, and the evening can run as long as you like. This is the area we recommend when the crew is large and loud but wants to stay in the north of the city. Note two things: parking at the Port in the evening is a story in itself — send us in advance where one can stop to unload; and the sea wind is real — for any show with fabric, a veil or feathers it changes the choreography.

Who from the team fits here best

For the Old North — the elegant styles: Yasmin with her boa looks as if the flat was built for her, Shira brings the slow genre that needs no volume, and Michal fits couples' evenings and older guests of honour perfectly, and they are most of our crowd here. The types of address in the area

A Bauhaus flat on the boulevard — the classic: a high ceiling, square rooms, a balcony over the street. The most beautiful stage we have in the city, provided the show is not built on noise. A rooftop flat — very common here: a small interior and a large terrace, so half the show happens outside. A loft at the Port — concrete, height, a window to the sea; the only space in the area where full sound is possible. A two-room flat on a side street — small, intimate, excellent for a crew of up to ten and a chamber format. Seasons: the sea changes everything

In summer this area becomes the city's back garden: open balconies, rooftops, and a wind that is pleasant exactly during show hours. That is the season when we recommend an outdoor format — while reminding you that fabric and feathers behave differently in wind, so the set is adapted in advance. In winter everything returns indoors, and the Old North reveals its real advantage: high ceilings and low light create an atmosphere no new loft produces. A tip from the field: in winter check the heating before booking an evening on a terrace — sea wind does not compromise.

The formats most requested here

Birthdays of thirty and forty are our number one in the area, followed by couples' evenings — a format that suits these beautiful flats perfectly. Bachelor parties happen here in two editions: the quiet one in the Old North and the free one at the Port, and we steer you by the size of the crew. A duo show works excellently in the Port lofts and less so in the small flats. And for evenings with a personal script there is the VIP show, suited to a crowd looking for something precise rather than standard.

Logistics: stairs, lifts and parking

Bauhaus buildings mostly have no lift, and a third floor with a costume bag adds a few minutes — tell us in advance and we schedule accordingly; the price does not change. Where there is a lift it is usually very small; not a problem, simply worth knowing. Parking in the Old North is solvable: blue-and-white spaces free up after nine, and there is a car park at the square. At the Port it is harder in the evening, which is why two minutes of unloading at an agreed spot makes all the difference. All of this closes in one chat message, and on the night you only open the door.

Timing in the area

The Old North starts early: 21:00–22:00 is the golden point, because the crowd here is older and arrives after a meal. The Port starts late — 22:30 onwards, and after midnight is fine too with no surcharge, as everywhere in our price list. In both areas it pays to write a day ahead on weekends: this is a much-requested area, and the gallery choice is fuller when you book early.

Four real evenings from the area

A Bauhaus flat on the boulevard, a fortieth birthday. A high ceiling, lamps instead of the main light, and a quiet show the neighbours never heard. A loft at the Port, a bachelor party of twenty-five. Free sound, a window open to the sea, and a set that carried on after the dancer left. A small flat on a side street, six friends. An entirely chamber evening, with no loud music at all. A rooftop above the boulevards, a couples' evening. A light wind, two lamps, and a slow show — the format that suits this area best. What to prepare

A short list: a stable chair without armrests; two metres by two of clear floor; two warm lamps instead of the ceiling light; a small place to change. In the Old North add closing the windows before the entrance, and at the Port — check whether the door slams, because in those buildings the whole floor hears it. And if you have a balcony with a view, say so: half our shows here begin out there and move inside once the room is warm — an entrance from a terrace is one of the strongest openings we have.
