A Company Evening With a Show — How to Do It Right

Strippers — A Company Evening With a Show — How to Do It Right

A company evening with a show is one of the formats we produce most, and also the easiest to get wrong. The reason is simple: at a private event everyone is a friend, while at a company event there is hierarchy, there are people who did not choose to be there, and there are people who will have to work with everyone the next morning. This post explains how to fit a show into a business evening so it becomes a good memory rather than an unpleasant story — from dozens of such evenings, including ones that were saved only by proper planning.

When it works and when to skip it

Three conditions that, if met, make the evening excellent: the group is small and knows each other — up to twenty people who work together rather than a randomly assembled department; attendance is voluntary — the official event has ended and whoever wants to stays; and the makeup is homogeneous — a partner team, a tight department, a founders' group. If one of the three is missing, we will tell you straight: a compulsory event with dozens of employees of all ages and backgrounds is not the place for a show, and we do not want to be there either. A different format is better, and we will help you think of one.

The format that works best: three short appearances

This is the format we recommend for company evenings almost every time, and most clients have never heard of it. Instead of one continuous hour, the dancer appears three times across the evening — ten to fifteen minutes each, each in a different look. The advantage is double: the evening never stops for a full hour, and guests who prefer staying at the bar never feel trapped. Sapphir built this format around her background in fashion shows, and it works excellently at openings and branding events too. Full details on the VIP page.

The group is mixed — what to do

Most tech companies and offices have women on the team, and that is not a reason to drop the idea — it is a reason to choose correctly. The styles that work here: vintage burlesque with humour, fashion runway, and the light show. Dina and Nicole are our first picks for a mixed crowd, because both produce a visual "wow" before anything else. What does not work: a style built on physical closeness with one person from the audience. At a company event we do not do that, even when asked — and that rule prevents most of the bad stories in this field.

Hierarchy: the rule nobody thinks about

Do not put the CEO or the boss at the centre of the show. It sounds like a compliment and feels like a trap: he cannot refuse in front of his employees, and everyone around feels uncomfortable. Our rule is fixed — the default is a stage show with no "victim" from the audience, and if there is a specific guest of honour (a partner's birthday, a farewell to a long-serving employee), we confirm with him in advance through someone close. Five minutes of checking saves a whole evening, and we ask about it ourselves in the first message.

What to tell the team in advance

Organisers ask this almost every time, and the answer depends on the group. With a tight team that knows where it is going — tell them, it also builds anticipation. With a more mixed group a general sentence is better: "there will be something special later in the evening". What is always worth saying: that attendance is free and that staying at the bar is fine. People who feel they have an exit door mostly end up staying, and those who do not feel tense all evening. That is the single paragraph that improves company evenings most, and it costs nothing.

What to do if someone is uncomfortable

It happens, and that is fine. Our dancers spot it within three seconds — who is looking at the floor, who is laughing from the side, who would rather be elsewhere — and simply do not go there. We never drag anyone to the centre, and certainly not at a company event. If someone gets up and leaves midway, nobody comments and the show continues. And at the planning level: with the three-appearance format people are moving in and out of the room anyway, which removes that tension in advance.

Where to hold such an evening

Three good options. An office after hours — works excellently if there is open space and it can be darkened; it is also the most discreet, because there is no outside audience. A loft or event space — the common choice: Florentin and the Port are full of them, and they allow free sound. A villa with a garden — suits small teams in summer, especially in Herzliya and Ramat HaSharon. What works less: a restaurant or a bar open to the public — there is no control over who sees what, and we usually recommend against it.

Discretion: why it is critical precisely here

At a private event discretion is a convenience; at a company event it is a condition. The dancer arrives in completely everyday clothing, enters like any other guest, and changes in a closed room. We send no messages after the evening, keep no addresses beyond what coordination requires, and publish nothing anywhere. And one rule we ask of you: remind the team before the show starts that the dancer is not filmed. A clip taken by an employee at a company event is exactly the thing that turns a good evening into a problem — for both of us.

Budget and how it looks on the invoice

The price is identical to any other evening — there is no "corporate" supplement and no volume discount. The three-appearance format costs the same as an ordinary one-hour show, because the total stage time is similar. A proper invoice is issued for every business booking; tell us in advance that you need one and it is arranged with no further questions. The full figures by format are on the price list, and it is identical across all eighteen cities we reach, with no travel fees and no area supplement.

Three real company evenings

A showroom opening in Tel Aviv, eighty guests. Three short appearances across the evening, unannounced, as if the dancer were part of the collection — the photographers chased her all night. A partners' evening at a law firm, six people. A short twenty-minute format, an elegant style, then back to the table and the whiskey. A project completion for a development team, fourteen people in a loft. The light show, because half the team were engineers who were more interested in the technology than in anything else. Three evenings, three formats, zero unpleasant stories.

How to book a company evening

Write to us on WhatsApp: date, approximate hour, city, number of participants, and the group makeup in two words — a team, partners, a mixed department. We come back with a recommended format, two or three fitting dancers and a final price in writing. If we think your event is not suited to a show, we will say so, and that has happened more than once. Better to give up one booking than to be part of an evening someone regrets the next day; that is also what the about page says, and it is not a slogan.
